Introducing Audio-Technica’s new ATH-M50XSTS-USB streaming headsets, alongside the ATH-M50XSTS – the first headsets globally designed to cater specifically to the requirements of live-streaming content creators.
These headsets feature the same 45 mm large-aperture drivers found in the acclaimed M50X headphones, a favorite among top engineers and audio professionals. They deliver exceptional clarity across an extended frequency range and deep, accurate bass response. The streaming headsets come with two sets of unique earpads: M50X earpads focusing on audio quality and sound isolation, and mesh and leatherette earpads prioritizing breathability and comfort.
The microphone design is what truly distinguishes these streaming headsets. Both models integrate a cardioid condenser capsule derived from the popular 20 Series microphone designs, mounted on a flexible boom arm for ideal positioning even during head movements. This setup delivers rich, studio-quality vocal presence without background noise and maintains consistent output levels. For quick and efficient muting, simply flip the boom arm upwards.
The ATH-M50xSTS-USB is equipped with a 2 m (6.6′) permanently attached cable featuring a USB-A connection (and a USB-A to USB-C adapter), allowing plug-and-play connectivity with PCs and Macs. Further enhancing user experience, the ATH-M50XSTS-USB includes an A/D converter with a sampling rate up to 24-bit/96 kHz and sidetone circuitry. This allows you to hear your voice in the headset (with volume controlled by a dial on the earcup), fostering a more natural, conversational feel.
